Meet the owner

Someone opens the door to The Physi-Yogis and the sound of passing cars quickly streams inside. The door closes and the newly renovated building becomes its own quiet retreat again. As the stranger steps up to the front desk, husband-and-wife team Anil and Heather Bhambani greet their newest patient. The door opens again and, for some, the sound of passing cars brings back memories of accidents and back pain.

Patients have come to The Physi-Yogis for a combination of treatments including movements from yoga, acupuncture, massages, and physical therapy to help them heal. And it’s the combination of physical therapy and yoga stretches in particular that makes this clinic so unique, and inspired the health clinic’s name. “[Yoga] took me out of pain from car accidents and work injuries and, basically, melted it all away,” Anil remembers.  “All the exercises that I’ve done – that are tried and true, that aren’t going to hurt people – we put them into a yoga routine.”

That yoga routine involves stretches and poses that are less dangerous and daunting for patients with injuries. “For example, downward dog I think is one of the greatest things you can do for your body to stretch your calves, your tailbone, and from your tailbone to the tip of your fingers,” says Anil. “But if you can’t take your shoulder overhead and put half of your body weight on that shoulder, you could do something dangerous.” The Physi-Yogi’s small classes allow Anil to monitor patients and prevent further injuries.

Anil never ceases to work wonders on my neck, back and feet issues. He is professional, careful and has an I ate sense of where your problem originates.

Brianna caused damage to my knee during our session and it has still not healed many months later. I did not even suffer any knee pain during the car accident or for weeks after. But during my session with this physiotherapist, excruciating knee pain started after she did a move on me that was extremely inappropriate for my condition. Your health and body are not worse the risk. Do not ever take a chance with a physiotherapist who can cause so much harm.

I have known Anil for many years and he has treated me for various injuries. I took my daughter to him and he diagnosed her foot problem almost immediately and helped her recover. I recommend Anil and his team to anyone who wants to be healed fast and proper!
