Jason Biggeman has known he wanted to be a personal trainer since the age of 15. “I’m also a firefighter,” Jason says. “I wasn’t the fittest individual before, and I wanted a change in my life. I took some classes and enjoyed it. Now here I am with a gym, working out with my eight and ten year-old kids!”
By working out, Jason refers to the cardio regimen he has his children go through. Weightlifting will come later. “I supervise my kids and their workouts. They aren’t CrossFit training, and I wouldn’t recommend that for children under the age of 14,” Jason says. “Otherwise, I’ve trained teenagers and 80 year-olds side by side. No matter the age or fitness level or goal, almost everyone can do it.”
Jason has been a CrossFit personal trainer since 2004, opening the gym in 2012. Now with business partner Drew Jackson, CrossFit Sherwood Park has become a welcome addition to the local fitness scene.
