I had a very positive experience dealing with Ace Chimney Systems and Ken Eisenhour specifically. During the initial quote process, Ken:
a) showed up on time
b) provided a written quote at a mutually beneficial price
c) provided all relevant insurance documents up front
He then completed the job when specified and left a clean worksite. During the installation of the Chimney, I asked him to move the position of the chimney over one foot and he obliged, but this required him to return after the fact to replace the siding. Due to a mix up on my part in procuring the siding, he returned to my house twice more and refused to accept final payment until the job was complete to my satisfaction. I appreciated his professionalism and taking the time to provide a complete worry free solution.
I was referred to Ace by my neighbour who had a good experience and I have and will refer this service provider to others.
I attempted to obtain chimney service from ACE and was told last Saturday that he would call me on Monday or Tuesday to arrange a meeting.
I had to call back as there was no follow up from ACE and was told he would see me Thursday. No show due to weather but no call either... I had to do that. Was told there would be someone to see me on Friday later in the afternoon.
On Friday (after I left work early) I call ACE at 5:15 with very little daylight left and was told he lost track of time and couldn't come until Saturday.
On Saturday afternoon I received a call stating they wouldn't be coming today... I told him not to bother. I had actually hoped to use my chimney before Spring.
Unless you have a high tolerance for disappointment and lots of time on your hands, I would try someone else.
I am sorry that we did not assist you in the manner you would have liked, in this line of work extended job problems, weather conditions and emergency calls are somethings that are hard to predict, which in turn allows for things to slip our minds. I have been very successful at what I do and am highly recommanded.
