This was a very nice restaurant with good Italian food, everything was good - nothing great. The service was very attentive and professional. They have tons of parking and the decor is very clean and upscale. They can handle large parties of 30 to 50 people, I recommend Il Tartufo.
Il tartufo is hands down my favorite restaurant in Mississauga. My boyfriend and I have been there several times and each visit so far has been memorable, regardless if it was our anniversary Their pastas are delicious, as well as the grilled calamari and their wine list is pretty impressive. What made our visit so exceptional though, was the wonderful service and atmosphere.
We visited this restaurant based on reviews we'd read. We arrived to a completely empty restaurant (bad sign), which ended up manned by one waiter and a cook. We ordered bruschetta to start. It was dripping with oil. It sat on the plate because no one wanted to eat it. The waiter encouraged everyone to take another piece before he removed it - no takers. The meals can only be described as strange. One member of our party had chicken in a brandy sauce that was bright orange and tasted like tomato soup. The other meals, although passable on some counts, were not great. The dessert was some of the worst I've had in a long time - a chocolate lava cake that tasted like something that wasn't chocolate, etc. The one thing that the people at our table did like was the balsamic vinegar. We felt sorry for the waiter. As soon as other tables came in, he got too busy to manage and we sat for long periods waiting. The decor is not relaxing - plastic flowers, etc. All in all, this was not a pleasant experience.
Excellent food and service!
I had one of the best nights taking my mom out for dinner at this gem. First of all, the service was amazing. Our waiter joked with us, made us feel very welcome, took a bunch of photos for my mom and I at our request, and just made us laugh. He knew when to come over and ask about our food and when to leave us alone to chat. I think the service even made the food taste better - and the food was excellent! My mom ordered the chicken with amaretto cream, almonds and raisins ($17), which was very delicate and not as sweet as it sounds. I wanted to order the chicken with a red wine demi-glaze but went with the special on our waiter's recommendation which was a chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese and topped with a tarragon cream($20). Really, really delicious. both had a side of freshly grilled zucchini, carrots and fingerling potatoes. The house sangiovese was the best glass of wine I've had for $6. We also ordered bruschetta ($5) which came on perfectly crispy garlic bread with full-flavoured tomatoes. Table also was provided with fresh, warm bread and a green olive tapenade. i thought the tapenade was a bit salty, but the warm bread was fabulous.
The atmosphere was great. Soft, instrumental music and beautifully decorated walls made it a truly relaxing place. Also might have been because there was only one other table of people at the restaurant - which i'd actually like to see change because this place is so great - they deserve a lot of business.
If you are heading out toward the airport or just want a nice meal far from the hustle of downtown areas - check this gem out. i am looking forward to going back really soon.
Peene al la Vadka was amazing, never tasted better anywhere in the world. Service was great also 1 waiter for every two tables. If you haven't been here your missing out.The service at this restaurant is unbeatable...you almost have your own waiter for the evening. Our waiter was very professional and the food is authentic Italian of superb quality!

when first entering this restaurant i was taken back when i saw the diploma's in the front of the new young chef that they have it showed me that they have someone who was trained in classic italian cusine and i was pleased to see this. the waiting of the tables was well presented they were their when we need them and back off also to have our space, the owner was outstanding in his knowledge in wines and made us feel very confortable the atmosphere was warm and inviting and the resturant itself was beautiful. when the food came out in was severed in the classic way and it was cooked too perfection. i would highly recomend this ristorante to anyone and hats off to the new chef who i may say not only is she the owners daughter but alos extremly talented and i came to find out.
