Sanjiz Mathews' spicy career started in 2011 when he volunteered at The Stop Farmers Market and got an opportunity to provide the local community with his special blend of spices. Sanjiz is now the face behind Incredible Spice, a company that provides customers with one-of-a-kind spice creations in the form of kits. His inspiration comes from his homeland of India and from using local and fresh ingredients at the market. And his expertise doesn't stop at spice kits, either; Sanjiz does catering as well and also creates flavoured honey, infused oils, samosas, chutneys and the list goes on.
“I have been in the hotel business for many years,” says Sanjiz. “I’m also a chef at One King West, I come from the land of spices, which is Kerala in India. I had always been playing with spices so it was always a dream of mine to create this sort of recipe kit for someone who wants to get an authentic spice blend. Especially when cooking Indian cuisine.”
