Creative journaling and writing, watercolours, illustration, manga, origami, knitting, mandala; Villeray’s Ateliers C is a small Henri-Julien Avenue studio space where all of these subjects, and more, can be explored. Manon Lévesque's studio has been teaching arts to both neophytes and established artists since 2011. “In the beginning, our focus was drawing, watercolour and manga. But with the studio’s increasing popularity came the demand for more varied classes and workshops, so we widened our breadth,” says Manon proudly. “Nowadays, Ateliers C’s six instructors breathe life into the space every day of the week.”
Catering to all tastes and skill levels, the adult and youth classes taking place at Ateliers C explore a cornucopia of techniques, materials and disciplines. “We also offer art day camps during the summer and spring breaks, and they usually sell out very quickly,” Manon adds. Those seeking a more casual experience can attend three-hour Sunday drop-in workshops, where they can explore their creativity without needing to sign up for a run of weekly classes.
