Sportera is the story of two brothers who wanted to make a difference in people's lives. “Many people see sport as this daunting thing. For Gary and I, our initial idea was to offer a service that was different and to make it fun,” says Kevin Pillu, the owner and co-founder.
It all began with the sporting challenges. They created the Tabata, a 40-minute session of high-intensity intervals, and the corporate component, which aims to develop the team's motivation and help companies that want to commit to healthy living. “It also helps us to keep our community alive. When you get to the end of challenge, it changes your life. And then you're hooked!” says Kevin.
Kevin and Gary keep coming up with new ideas. “Well, it's true: we never stop working on it, since we also live together,” declares Kevin. With the creation of Sportera in 2012, they were able to put many of their projects into practice. “We love creating events, but we also like to get involved in causes. We have chosen to combine the two for the benefit of Défi sportif AlterGo, which raises funds for disabled athletes.”
