A Fun Place to Grow

Applesand Pears daycare is run by a group of really hardworking ladies. Our daugther was in good hands there.

Beautiful location, awesome staff

Apples and Pears has a wonderfully bright and airy building with plenty of windows overlooking a view of the Comox Glacier. I believe it was originally built to be a school and is set up very well for a daycare space. They have a large fenced yard that has a separation so that the little kids can play outdoors without getting overwhelmed by the bigger kids. Indoors and outdoors they have many quality and child safe toys. I was pretty impressed by their facilities. There is even a separate room for the babies to nap in, away from the bustle of the daycare. There is a really good group of kids and the staff seem well trained to handle them, taking care to get to know each and every one. My daughter did not take long at all to adjust to full time days, and looks forward to going in the mornings. She is just 2 and a half, and it must be hard for her to be away from her parents all day so i am impressed that she has such a connection with the staff. They really go the extra mile to make the days interesting for the kids, with storytimes and crafts etc. My daughter has had extra attention because she isn't talking yet, and since she started at Apples and Pears, she has come a really long way under the added attention of the staff. It is awesome that they take the time to cater to each child's individual needs. They do so much more than just provide a safe place for your child to stay the day. I would recommend them to both friends and family.
