Welcome to Collingwood, one of Vancouver's oldest neighbourhoods. This unique neighbourhood dates back to the late 1890's. Many of the early settlers in the area were farmers. Avalon Dairy, one of the oldest established dairy farms in the province, is still located here.In 1890 Collingwood had Vancouver's first streetcars. The fare was a nickel. The line connected Collingwood with New Westminster and Vancouver.
