I recently called Knowles Gas to check for a gas leak in my kitchen.
I have a gas stove, furnace and hotwater tank. I thought the leak was from the stove. The technician spent 10minutes and checked it out and did not discover a leak. I was sent a bill for $100. When I called I said that I could still smell gas and that I did not think there was due diligence in ascertaining a leak. I had to pay for an hours work but he was only there 10 minutes. He did not check any pipes downstairs or look at the furnace or hotwater tank either.The receptionist said she would look into it. A month later I got a call for an outstanding bill for $100. I called again and they said they would look into it. Today I was told ( after I stated that I could still smell gas) that they could send a tech out to check it. Oh it would cost me another $100. I declined and will go elsewhere. I did have Knowles install all my gas appliances over the years ,so I am now disappointed in the way I have been treated. I will go pay the $100 and go elswhere in the future.
