The Atria opened its doors in 1980 as an Italian restaurant by owner Art Iezzi. He named the restaurant from the city he originated from off the coast of the Adriatic Sea; Atria, Italy. He wanted to create a place where people could go to enjoy great food, as well as have a great time after dinner. Listening to live music from the Atria's own piano bar was a popular activity in the early 80's. In the 90?s, The Atria became more of a live entertainment venue, hosting different bands and performers from all over Canada. It also became a popular local venue for local clientele to come relax, feel welcome and enjoy their time with friends and family.more...See more text
Bad service and extreme filthy. The worst bar I have ever been to in the Oshawa area. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone that wants a SAFE and Fun night out.
The foods just regular pub food, chips/wings etc...Beer prices are alright, regular nights there about 4.75 a beer.
if you go on the karaoke nights you can get pitchers for 10 bucks.
which is great! , watch some people sing...maybe get up and sing yourself, play some pool , and get offered jello shots every 5 minutes....
The patio's much nicer, nice place to relax, light up a smoke and sit back, the bar does get its characters but as long as you ignore them nothing will happen...
Went for drinks at first prior to a show at GM Centre and started talking to the clientele and ended up staying for dinner which was really good. Returned after the show and had a lot of fun and met some really nice people!
This place is great for drinks and live music. It's been here a long time and has taken its' share of beatings with the bad downtown rap, but if you can rise above that, it's cleaner than most well-known Toronto drinking holes and lounges frequented by tourists, locals and students. It has a great layout for live bands! The only downtown's going to shape up is if good people start hanging out downtown and injecting life into it's core. Great live music! Cheers!
-The food is typical bar snacks Ie: Chicken wings, Burgers, etc.
-Atomosphere is dark
-Great live entertainment. Oshawa's best kept secret as far as the music they get in there. Bands range from the best local acts to popular touring Canadian acts.
-Overall, the food isn't great. But stick around and drink some ice cold beer & chow down on some wings and enjoy some good music!
