“My whole approach to the job of photographer is pretty artistically driven,” says Crila. “Whether I have a model, an artist or any other person in front of the camera during a photo shoot, I endeavour to put the spotlight on what makes them unique. I believe there is something magnificent in every person.”

Crilaphoto is first and foremost the work of Crila and Momo, two artists who go by the mononym. The duo works with the mediums of photography, video and art direction, and is dedicated to giving images a unique quality. “Our images are evocative of emotions, states of mind and of the values of the people we work with,” Crila explains.

Fashion and beauty photography, artist and celebrity portraits, product shots, video or creative photography, the world of images holds no secrets for the young photographer and her accomplice.

Crila’s career began in earnest in 2006 with publication in Air Canada’s enRoute magazine. “That was my first real commission as a professional photographer. After that, I got a lot of work in fashion, which allowed me to develop my style and skills with a lot of different magazines and Web sites, to such an extent that I am now busy with all sorts of projects, from beauty to editorial,” she says. “We also do branding. We have recently worked with Caroline Néron on the launch of her jewellery line, amongst others.”
