For most of us, a "for sale" sign on the window of an old deli would probably be of no interest, but for Richard Holder, it represented a unique opportunity. His previous businesses, Brasserie Bernard, Holder and Waverly, were all successful restaurants but that doesn't mean the thirst for creating something new had vanished.
Richard invited David Pagé to join him in launching the Le Majestique, a new lounge and restaurant with an eclectic retro atmosphere. The business that was for sale, Déli-cité, had so much to offer, including a prime location on Saint-Laurent Boulevard. However, Richard's new project would have very little in common with its predecessor. To brighten the decor, Richard called upon the services of former Cirque du Soleil decorator, Thomas Csano. As for the menu, he hired Charles-Antoine Crête, who worked at Toqué! for 15 years and who is recognized as one of the 15 best chefs in the world, as well as Chef Dominic Lalonde, also a long-time head cook at the Toqué and Continental Bistro.
Le Majestique opened in April 2014 and, just like all of Richard's resto-bars, it quickly became the talk of the town. Be prepared to wait in line to enjoy the splendour of this lounge-restaurant because it is frequently filled with guests looking to have a good time.

Fantastic, one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal.
Excellent menu. Salade de pieuvre savoureuse et le cocktail Quebec 22 est succulent. Belle ambiance et belle déco. Par contre, les serveuses ne sont pas sympathiques et on a toujours l'impression de les déranger.
Bons cocktails et belle ambiance
We need more late restos like this in MTL. Oysters are top-notch and the service is great too.

The Majestique is located in an old deli, and their menu tells it all: the giant hot dog, a homemade piglet sausage on bread from the Hof Kelsten bakery, comes with green apples, mustard and lemon mayo and is a monster, but a delicious monster. Definitely to be shared!

But there’s more to be had than just oysters and the menu changes seasonally. There’s also the year-round house classics such as the 12-inch piglet hot dog and the pickled snails.
View this Smart ListDelicious and fun food in a magical ambiance is a great way to describe dinner at Majestique. The décor is laden with a busy collection of kitschy items plastered all over the walls and into every nook and cranny. The food is fun and accessible and the service relaxed yet professional. Grab a cocktail or two, sit at the bar and enjoy the dishes as well as the surroundings.
