The Free Methodist Church came to the Weyburn area in 1906 when Rev. R.H. Hamilton moved from Moose Jaw to the Yellow Grass area to begin 'preaching a circuit.' That meant that he would visit homes, share the gospel and set up a tent from time to time to hold 'gospel meetings.'
