I attended Montana's Cookhouse with my Brother and Girlfriend last week and expected good quality food and service. I expected it because Montanas Cookhouse i widely recognized and I have also attended it before and loved it. I suggest coming here for a dinner or lunch because you receive great food for a low cost. I ordered chicken penne which was 15$ and a coke for 3$, so for under 20$ I received an excellent meal and fast service. The environment is loud and upbeat giving you a fun experience. Read more

It was Wednesday and I was looking for something to eat for lunch, i saw Downtown Cafe while i was strolling around and decided to get their food special , which had been the Roast beef on a bun. The total came close to $10 with the drink, a pretty pricey meal for a coffee shop. This restaurant created a very pleasant and appealing atmosphere. I was pleased with the warm welcoming received upon arrival. The place has been on Locke for years and every visit I have had only the best service. The staff are very accommodating and deal well with any request you may have. The Beasley House has a very warm and comfortable feeling as the dinning area only seats around 30 people. The menu offers a vast array of options and will suit the need of any type of customer. Anywhere from seafood and steak to hamburgers and fries, which is really helpful when dining with a larger, different group of people. The restaurant is especially appealing to me in the summer time as I spend a lot of time on Hamilton's trendy Locke street and the Beasley House is the only one with a patio??!!! On the weekend I dropped by because I learned that they had Lugtread Lagered Ale on tap. The hostess said that they were serving Sunday brunch and that sitting at the bar was awkward. However, soon, a waiter brought in a bar stool and soon I was sipping my fave beer on tap. It was a sunny day so the view was great, bartender friendly and as a bonus there was a keyboard player singing a whole host of great songs. I stop here ocasionaly when I take my bike following the hydro-line bicycle path. Every time I do stop here, I don't regret it at all!! We've always wanted to try this place out, so we finally did! We reserved a table for two online for 630, but we didn't end up getting there until just before 7. The maitre'd read our special instructions that was sent with our online reservation and seated us in a quiet corner at a bigger booth for just the two of us. Not that the place was loud or overly busy, but it was great that we were seated farther away from the rest of the crowds that were there and we were not forgotten about! Since it was our first time there, our server showed us the menu and gave her suggestions. Some sounded tempting but we decided to go with our own choices. We both got steaks and got the Caesar salads to start. We also got bread with sweet butter and stuffed mushrooms. We started off with Caesar salad and bread served. Then our stuffed mushrooms. Then came our steaks. One done medium the other done medium well. They were both beautifully cooked and we both enjoyed our loaded potatoes as well! Since we were there to celebrate, our server took care of us with a rich dessert - double chocolate brownie! We enjoyed every part of our meal! The bread was a 7 grain bread, crisp on the outside, warm and light on the inside! The Caesar salad had a very nice garlic taste with a tiny kick. The steaks melted in your mouth and was easy to devour. The loaded potato (minus the chives) was nice and fluffy with lots of sour cream, cheese and bacon! And the dessert was an excellent addition! We both got drinks from the bar as well throughout our meal - they were mixed decently, but felt it was a little too light on the alcohol. All in all, our server was great, and never forgot about us, the maitre'd was excellent for our request. And we had a great first experience here. We'll definitely go again! Might I even say that its better than their competition? I believe so, but we'll have to see if they are just as great the second time around ;) Read more

Burger was excellent, melted in my mouth, a tiny bit of hot pepper mixed in was subtle, but a tasty novelty. Everything seemed freshly made with fresh ingredients. Fries were shoestring style, but piping hot and very good. Dry ribs were a tiny portion and virtually no meat, but my son liked them anyway. Rather expensive, over $100 both times.
