Calgary Humane Society is more than a shelter. We connect the lives of animals and people. We have been providing an essential community service since 1922. Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters more than 7700 homeless animals each year. We investigate animal cruelty, provide emergency boarding and help reunite lost pets with their owners.     Great Place to find your best friend

    last week we stopped in to look at some new dogs for our home. They had a huge selection which in one hand is really good and in the other its really sad. I have grown up with dogs and animals and with our new home i was really excited to get a new dog. As much fun as puppies are, its the older ladies and gents that have really had a rough ride...So we are still waiting to find the right dog for our home. They told us to check weekely and if we see someone we like to come down and meet them! We are really excited and are looking forward to our new friends!

You can feel good about your purchases, here, too, since all proceeds from store purchases go toward the 8,500 animals the CHS cares for each year. The inventory is curated with an eye to humane treatment of animals, best training practices and fun.
