I change my propane bottle at this service station Saturday 23rd Feb 2013.When I got home, tried for at least 20 min to connect my grille hose and when try to open the valve, realize that was open, anyway I got only very low pressure coming out.Took the bottle back to clerk so he can inform me that he cannot change that bottle because the seal is broken! And i have to wait till Monday to talk with the Manager.Already have my steak on grill and guest at my place. So was not a option to wait few days!ask him to call the manager, clerk told me I should call him and the phone number is on receipt.Try to call the 1 800 number on receipt and he start laughing at me,telling me no one is going to answer! That was rude...I was so close to explode!
After arguing for 15 min in front of customers, clerk asked me for my name, address and license plate (like I was going to get a Mortgage),he finally change it !
Following Monday,I called the 1 800 number from receipt to ask whats the policy for changing propane bottles in my case!...Like you all know,,,of course he didn`t have a answer, but instead I`ve got the Manager phone number! Just called the Manager few min ago,my question was :"What's the policy for changing propane bottles in my case?"....He told me if the seal is broken,he cannot change it!I asked him:"how should I try the bottle if I don't broke the seal?",,,He told me that I cannot buy a bottle of water, open it and after change it...Told him that's a puerile term of comparison!A bottle of water is transparent, have no any pressure or valve and a propane have maybe 2-300 P.S.I. and a safety valve!
Anyway....after 5 min I got the answer I was looking for a week now...THEY DON'T CHANGE THE PROPANE BOTTLE!
...Just hope this will be helpful to someone else!
No more propane bottles from this place! That's for sure!
