After my first visit I wondered why this wasn’t Victoria’s hottest Chinese food place. I found out. It’s hit and miss between great and poor. It’s like there are two cooks but one person can’t cook and when they run the show all the dishes taste the same - soy drenched. Prices are good, portions are too, but ultimately I go elsewhere to get food quality I can rely on.
I got the dinner for two the food is usually decent but this last time I got tinny bones and alot of fat & grissle in the pork it was mostly inedible and the chow mein was slimey. Im guessing they are no different from other chinese food places so i didn't bother calling them.
Best chinese food we've had in years. We love the spicy green bean's, they are always perfectly tender crisp. The gai lan in black bean sauce is great. Everything we get has been good.
This is a small family run restaurant with a friendly young woman who seats you and takes your order and her husband who is the chef in the back.
If you want something differant than what is on the menu they always seem happy to oblige.
They also do a very brisk takeout business.
Never judge a book by it's cover. The cleanest (msg free) and best tasting Chinese food in Victoria! The owners know how to serve and cook. Best to book ahead, as they turn away group after group on the weekends. Limited seating, but greeeeeeat food. We drove by for years and now that we tried it, we can't stay away.
This is a great family run restaurant. It serves fish and chips and Chinese food. You won't be disappointed with the food or the service. Small but efficient.
