okay

It was okay, but not great for me. I've had several meetings here now. This last time, the waitress forgot to give us a bill, she actually rang us out as paid. Which caused a bit of a comotion as they tried to figure out what happened and how to give us a bill. I felt that the chicken parm didn't have any breading on it, and I didn't like the pasta they served it with. Felt like just noodles and plain tomato sauce. Nothing in the sauce. My friend said the jambalaya was good though.

mediocre at best

I went to this place with my work for our christmas party dinner. When everyone finally arrived (there was only 6 of us) we were given menus and took our drink order. Water already comes with your meal so I had to ask for lemon. Waited until all the drinks were brought out (which was about 10 minutes later) to recieve my lemon slice for the water. Then our order was taken. There was a good 45 minute wait between giving our order and actually recieving it. I understand it takes time to cook, however it shouldn't have taken so long when the food wasn't even that good. The chicken was okay but the pasta was horrible. It had a very awkward taste to the blush sauce, almost as if it had been a bottle of ketchup mixed with some alfredo sauce. I'm a huge vegetable fan and the meal also came with one random piece of brocolli. Dont know what the point of it was, but it was okay, not steamed long enough but okay. The bill came 20 minutes after we were done eating so we didnt get a chance to try desert, which was okay with me as after my chicken parm and side salad my bill was already over 20 dollars. None the less, unless someone offers to take me out to lunch here, I won't choose this restaurant myself.

A very special evening for both of us.

My husband and I went to dinner for our wedding anniversary, and since we hadn't been to Delaineys in a while, we decided to return. We found it to be just as lovely as we remembered it -- the ambiance is very adult and romantic, and we were given a secluded booth that was near the sunny window and was nice and private. The waitress was professional and attentive without being invasive, and she timed her service really well. Our food was very good. The spanakopita and the soup were both outstanding; the fettucine was a massive portion and quite wonderfully cheesey; and the filet mignon (special) was not large, but very tasty. When my husband mournfully mentioned that he didn't have enough roast potatoes (which are a must), the waitress quietly brought us a few more at no extra cost. They topped off our night with a brownie, decorated with a sparkler and "happy anniversary" written in raspberry coulis, and it was TO DIE FOR (extremely rich and chocolatey). All in all, it was a lovely dinner that helped make our anniversary evening even more special. We highly recommend Delaineys and will be back for sure.

horrible

So we went on this website to figure out a good place to eat in Guelph which neither of us have been too. This Delainey's had a good review so we decided to try it. I for one am not a big eater at dinner so I asked to order off the childrens menu. They said ya no problem. I ordered the hamburger with fries. It came soo burnt that I could barely cut it in half. Then we also got the soup which we amost had to pull out hair to get more crackers. The waitresses did not want to be there clearly by their actions towards us. I dont know if it was because we are young that maybe they didnt appreciate our service. Also when they asked us the what was wrong with our meals because we barely touched them we told told them how we felt. The manager came over in a a VERY ignorant manor and said I quote " You guys do NOT actually qualify to order off the childrens menu, so we are only voiding the hamburger because yes it was burnt" WHICH they should have known when they served it to us. She accused us of trying to pinch them for a free meal and I for one am appauled and it ruined our night!!!!

We Had A Really Good Time....

It was a wonderful dinner in a cozy private room. I been to this place a very many times but this was the first time we were sitting in this private room. Food was great but the service was little slow which I did't mind at all. I highly recommend this place....
