I have been coming to the Schnitzel Haus since I was 9 years old, and we are always greeted like family. It is definitely a tradition for us. I know that there is always something to appeal to my picky eaters. The kids love the bread (It's called 'Schnitzelhaus bread' in our home instead of Rye) and the schnitzels and desserts are excellent.
I had the Black Forest platter with bread soup, bread, sausage, schnitzle, roast pork, spaetzle, sauerkraut and vegetable. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. I'll be looking for an excuse for another trip to Hamilton so I can come back
visiting from Kelowna B.C. No restaurants in Kelowna with this quality or quantity of food.. The absolute best meal we have had in a long long time.. My favourite restaurant in Hamilton. I almost always order the small vienna schnitizel plate (and small means large here). Usually get it with potato salad. Comes with a small green salad too. The entire meal is less than $10.
Good rye bread.
Had a pork special once too and that was good. A little pricier. Specials are more like $15.
The desserts are delicious too.
Great place to bring your friends/family members with big appetites.

This is one of our favourite restaurants. We have been coming here for years and years and years. The BEST Austrian cousine. We have been to Germany and Austria and it truly is just as good right here at home.
