The three Molot sisters worked together to create an innovative coffee bar with light fare and 250 international magazines. Within months the customers requested that they get a liquor license, and so they did.
The Bean Bar is my favourite restaurant that I never turn down.
My last time there I had the Mediterranean wrap, and the grilled vegetable sandwich (Hummus and Veggies). Both were amazing. You can tell when you're eating their food vs. a chain restaurant's food.
Their Ferrero Rocher cheesecake cannot be described in words. It's something you have to try to understand how good it is.
The selection for vegetarians is very generous. I would say half their menu is suitable for them.
I wish the venue was bigger, because it's always busy and they try to get as many people in as they can. I can't complain about that - the place is very good it doesn't surprise me it's always busy.
It seems to always be busy here. The food is great, the servers are polite but sometimes alittle to busy to serve the "wow" experience. I will go back for the great food.
After reading the "glowing" reviews on the bean bar i figured i would try it again after being away from it for several years. I was WRONG! The place is filthy, dirty tables, cutlery and plates, glasses with greasy smudges and poor service. Our food order was taken by somone who uttered "yo" upon our greeting us. As tasty as the food was it came out at different times, drinks were not refilled, and our server left for the day (?) leaving us with the owner to settle up the tab.
I've been there more than a dozen times. Menu is sort of modern fusion, mildly eclectic (remember this is Westdale!). Young women seem to like this place a lot ( many vegetarian dishes). I go there sometimes just for a drink.
