The food was OK, but nothing spectacular. I'm somewhat put off by this restaurant though since the food tastes like they're cutting some corners. What i mean is that they clearly used margarine instead of real butter to coat their naan. Their naan is pretty expensive and unjustifiably so.
I thought id try this new restaurant, I believe there was an prior indian restaurant here called karma. However, the service and quality of food was a disappointment and not at the level of the prior Karma restaurant. Food is overly spiced and leaves an after taste.
I think there are far better choices for indian fare in mississauga, I would not recommend this restaurant.
Food is very good, we liked all the dishes. We think it's one of the best places for Indian food in Mississauga. Price is a little expensive. Service is ok. I would go back again for the food.
The first time it opened, Avani had me floored with exceptional service and food quality. As usual, the second time, was not really up to the mark. While it started as fusion cuisine (incl. hakka noodles), it's now almost 100% Indian food only. Still, the fireplace and cosy ambience, as well as convenient location (after finishing shopping at the new Wal-mart opposite) makes it worth a visit.
