Worst seafood rice noodle soup! 2 little shrimp and two mussels with hot water no flavour. No brussel sprouts and basil to add or even a piece of lime. Had to douse the soup with hoisin sauce and hot chilli for flavour. Poor service .. waiter never came back to my table once. Will not go back!
Staff make fun of you if you order too much food and are fat. Awful people. Shaming environment.
Such an awful place to eat in Mississauga. The worst noodle soup I ever had - so gross! Absolutely disgusting food, terrible service, and very expensive. I had a terrible experience and was very disappointed.
awesome $12 meal for a medium bowl of pho and a fresh mango shake
CHICKEN AND PORK WITH RICE - First thing I can say is YUUUUCK, just pure yuck, went to this restaurant 3 days ago, and I am not coming back. First of all, The waiter/server was cutting his nails while at the dining area.. and you can hear the clicking of the nail cutter. The food was ok, wasnt bad at all, but Man where is the manners or proper sanitation. 2nd was he keeps picking his ears while we are there. Diisgusting!!!! I dont recommend this place at all.. HAD DIARRHEA WHEN I GOT HOME, AND MY FRIEND GOT THROAT IRRITATION AFTER EATING HERE. YUCK ,SUPER YUCK
I visit frequently. The service is prompt, you write down your orders yourself. The food is good, especially the grilled chicken on rice and their spring rolls are great as well. Great price and big portions. I would definitely recommend.
This is a great source for local Vietnamese cuisine! The prices are good and the food is tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant and unique. Sometimes you have to get after the servers a little bit if you require something. But overall, very good.
Excellent food. This is for anyone who wants real authentic vietnamese food with good prices.
We have found Pho-Mi 89 to be a dependable casual restaurant with consistent food quality offering superior value. The large room is bright and clean. Our usual choices include their full-flavored soups which are particularly good as they are all made with fresh ingredients. However, tonight we explored some other menu items. The 2 Shrimp Rolls were very ordinary and relatively expensive at $3.75 for a slice of small shrimp wrapped with a few beans sprouts and rice noodles and a spec of lettuce. The Fried Spring Rolls were also mediocre with little filling at all. Nothing offensive, just not as good as their noodle soups and the entrées we've previously enjoyed. The Chicken with Cashews was a generous portion of sautéed chicken with vegetables and nuts accompanied by a large portion of steamed rice. The chicken was tender and mildly seasoned. At $6.50, an excellent value. The Pork Chop and Chicken with Rice was an equally good value and pleasing choice. The slender chop and plump boneless chicken thigh tasted soy-marinated before grilling and were served very hot and still moist. Steamed rice and an attractive cucumber and tomato salad completed the plate. A variety of condiments like soy, chili sauces and a sweet barbecue sauce are on every table to allow diners to adjust items' flavor. Complementary mugs of green tea are promptly served soon after being seated. Service here varies from pleasantly chatty to indifferent, depending on the person and business volume. Some nights dinner service can be a little frantic as this place gets quite busy. If you are new to Vietnamese cuisine, ask for assistance. We have found the managers to be very helpful in guiding our choices.
Over all the food is good, authentic. Once though, we had a cold noodle in hot soup. hmmm? we had to return it and had an exchange. Service was not so good, as the server are too busy to mind their manners and politeness to the guest. I had to asked for a high chair and some spoons and forks twice before we got it. Would be a much better dining experience if the service is improved. Until then, better find other vietnamese restaurants.
Our first visit to Pho Mi 89....highly recommended by friends. The food WAS excellent and the servings quite large. The service was so-so...we had to go up and order at the counter. I noticed other people asking to have their leftovers packed up and the servers did so....I asked to have ours packed up and the server brought the styrofoam containers to the table and I had to do it myself.
I didn't know what to order because there were so many declicious sounding items on the large menu. The friendly server recommended the famous Pho Noodle soup and fresh shrimp roll and rice noodle in black bean sauce. The server really new the menu well, so I decided to take his advice. THe food arrived very quickly and I was more than pleasantly suprised. I go to many Vietnamese restuarants and I must say that this was the best PHO i've ever had! THe shrimp roll was also great and the portion of the rice noodle in black bean sauce was generous to say the least. We were very pleased with the service, the food and the price. Decour was modern, stylish and very clean. Soft classic vietnamese music in the background. Overall, it was a delightful experience and great value. I recommend this place to anyone.
I ordered the vermicelli which came with spring rolls and I clearly indicated on the order sheet that I wanted vegetarian spring rolls as i am vegetarian. I even wrote it in Vietnamese (Chay) as the servers do not speak English. I received my order an ate my spring roll, I had a funny feeling about it, so the next time the server came to the table I asked him what it was. I discovered that it was PORK and NOT vegetarian. Clearly, I was very upset however the server not manager did not seem to care at all and made me pay for the food which I did not eat!! I will never eat there again!!!!
