To be a Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario, one must complete a 2200 hour program that focuses on Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Assessments and Treatment. Each Registered Massage Therapist must then successfully complete a comprehensive practical board exam and a written board exam, set out by our regulatory body, The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
Each Massage Therapist must maintain annual continuing education credits, and stay current in Massage Therapy theory and research, as well as be within good standing with the CMTO, in order to maintain their registration.
