Wow - we didn't even know it was there! We have...

Wow - we didn't even know it was there! We have eaten at the old Lakeshore location when we were younger, but now living further away from the north end we were thrilled to discover there is a second location in West St. Catharines. The food was great and it's a definite uprade in decor from the Lakeshore location. We had the pizza and wings special. The pizza was delicious and the wings were made to order just how we like them. We'll be back!

My wife and I had been meaning to try Christina's...

My wife and I had been meaning to try Christina's for quite some time. We had tickets to a show later that evening, but thought we'd have more than enough time to pop in and grab a bite. Waitress took our order, and quickly came back with our drinks and my salad. We waited for quite a while for or main courses, long enough to be worried about getting to our show on time. The waitress stated that our food would be out soon. After watching meals arrive at the tables of customers that arrived 1/2 hour after us, I went to another waitress and asked her to instruct the kitchen to box our food to go. Finally, after waiting another fifteen minutes, we went to the server's station to pay for our drinks and salad and leave. We were informed that our order was somehow lost. While they didn't make us pay for the drinks and salad, we were really unimpressed with the whole situation. Two hours of my life I'm not going to be getting back, all for a salad and an ice tea.

This review is for the new West side location...

This review is for the new West side location. Both are quite similar, in food and service (or lack thereof). We love Christina's pizza. We will drive from Secord Woods to Vansickle Rd to get it. But after eating in a couple of times (and remembering eating in at the original location) we will stick to take out. The service is insufferably slow. Even when there is nearly no one in the restaurant, the service is slow and the servers are quite inattentive. And if you order the Tiramisu, be forewarned that it will be frozen in the middle and yet somehow also be a very tiny portion.

The food was fabulous...homemade quality, and...

The food was fabulous...homemade quality, and good portions. The homemade minestrone soup was a real treat...rich in flavour and loaded with vegetables. The service was adequate and friendly. This little out-of-the-way gem has decor that's a little tired, but it definitely feels like a restaurant with deep neighbourhood roots. The prices were very reasonable, and we felt like we received good value. Next time we will have to ask to meet Christina!

Regular customer since 1982 when they opened

My wife and I have been eating at Christinas forever.The food is excellent the prices are comparitive too any other fine restaurant in the region.The restaurant specilizes in Italian and all their pasta is homemade.The sauce is too die for and the menu is full of variety.I especially prefer the Lasagna I warn you,you won,t be sorry.
