On Kensington Avenue, you’ll find a smattering of charming vintage clothing stores and among them is Breathless Vintage. In business since 2014, Rahat Alam and his partner, Lori Marsden, jumped at the opportunity to buy the store when the previous owners were looking to give it up. Rahat and Lori share a love for vintage clothing and were thrilled to be able to open in one of Toronto’s most unique neighbourhoods.
“Lori and I used to come to this store every Sunday. This was our first stop,” says Rahat. “We knew the owner and became friends, and we always loved vintage. We used to collect them just for ourselves. Then, all of a sudden, the opportunity came up. The previous owner offered Lori the opportunity and she took it.”
