Lots of gluten free options
We were looking for a low-priced to have dinner on King St. W (how crazy...) and came across this place. From the outside, you wouldn't think that it'd have a pleasant looking decor, but it does. Ordered the fried rice in pineapple and had tastes of my other friend's dishes. It is pretty decent Thai. The service is good - our waiter was attentive, nice, and most importantly, speedy.
Was quite impressed by the breadth of the menu; not so impressed with the speed or quality of service. While waiting 10 minutes at the table for my friend to arrive, the server did not once offer me a glass of water or take a drink order. Service was slow throughout the night; we had to flag them down to refill our glasses or clear the table. At one point there was a slight mix up and the server brought us two Thai iced teas instead of just the one we actually ordered. Instead of doing the obvious (i.e. taking the second drink back), the server kept insisting that we really did order both. We didn't particularly care to argue or be wasteful so we kept both drinks. However, I don't agree with being made to pay for what we never even ordered in addition to being given a hard time about it. That incident alone, however small, was enough for me to put this restaurant on my blacklist... if only the food wasn't so good. But alas - there aren't enough Thai restaurants in this city that do fish cakes and do it well. So I guess they win this round.
great food, decent service. Could do with better music and a little more vibrance !! But great date / romantic dinner place
The food was very good. I enjoyed it so much. But the service is slow. It's better to make reservation and avoid going there on Friday noon. One time, I waited 30 minutes for my soup noodle. Normally, it takes 10 - 15 minutes. And the waitress doesn't look very happy.

This popular King Street is known for its oh-so affordable team of lunch specials (think freshly made pad thai or peanut chicken, served with a side of rice, salad and spring roll for south of ten bucks). But it’s also an ideal downtown spot for takeout and delivery if you got Vietnamese noodles, spicy curry, or coconut soup on the mind. Don’t leave your craving too late – this spot only delivers until 9:30 pm
