As far as pubs in the toronto area there are plenty to find. I had a wonderful experience @ the unicorn pub recently. Our server/bartender Jennifer was extremely friendly and fun for our group. We all felt as though she knew us personally. I know my memory is not great but she remembered all of our names and what we drank and she had never met usbefore. The service was phenomenal. The meals were above average for the price and pub fare. If you are looking for a quaint spot for a gathering book with Jennifer she is far beyond what a typical pub gal usually ranks and I think she should open her own place that smile and gift of gab will take her far......Darren - Toronto

Toronto places to watch the Leafs around Yonge and Eglinton

While you probably won’t spot any mythical horned creatures – or at least, you won’t for your first couple of pints – you will pick up on a friendly place with a laidback vibe. All you have to do is show up and smile and you’ll fit right in, especially during Leafs games. But as friendly as the folks are who frequent this watering hole, you may want to leave your Habs or Bruins jersey at home.

There’s nothing like the cheery vibe of an Irish pub in any season. The Unicorn on Eglinton serves live jamming and Top 40 bands four nights a week, making your Guinness go down even more smoothly. There’s a pub menu with salads, wings and sandwiches to keep the munchies away (you’ll burn off the calories while you’re dancing). Even better, there’s no cover charge for the live music.
