Me and my husband eat thai often and this is defintely the worst we have ever had. Just happened to be in the area so we stopped in for take-out. The service - The staff were not nice. When I asked for sweet and sour sauce on the side, she said I would have to pay extra for it (which is fine), then rudely said, why do you want it for? I replied, I like sweet and sour sauce! The food - Horrible. My husband puts it best by saying that the sauce tasted like watered down ketchup. They messed up my order. I ordered veg tofu fried rice and ended up with vegetables in a disgusting sauce (no rice) and 2 tiny pieces of tofu. By the time I realized I was already home. The food they did give me was awful. Tofu tasted gross and the vegetables were rock hard like they were raw. Atmosphere - The place looks clean and new, which is about all it has going for it. Would definately not go to this place again. The farthest thing from authentic thai.
This seems to be a popular Thai restaurant, but if you're looking for authentic food, this place does not serve it. We had pad thai and green curry take out, and found the pad thai to be too sweet, and the green curry to be tasteless and runny. For more authentic tasting Thai food, you're probably better off going to any average Thai restaurant in Toronto.
We get takeout from here at least once a month. The green curry chicken is delicious, and the tom yum is also very good. My husband loves the spicy crispy beef.
The Chinese lunch specials are an okay value if you work nearby, but you can get the same quality at almost any mall food court. The Pad Thai is too sweet and I suspect flavored with ketchup (you can smell it). This isn't really a Thai restaurant. But how can you take something called "Wok N Roll" too seriously? The staff is friendly enough, and it's a cozy little place. After two visits, I'm not sure I'd go back unless it's for a quick bite at lunch.
It was my first time there. A friend of mine told me about it. The service was great, the food was very tasty. The meal came with 2 spring rolls and the sticky rice. The Mango Chicken had the chicken of course, with mango, pineapple, baby corns and a nice sauce. Purfect with the rice. I also had a drink. It only cost me 16.00 and change plus I added tip. Not bad for a nice dinner for one person.
