Everything started with a simple hammock. A European friend has Christophe Boy, Émilie Bordat and Quentin Bordat try out her new Ticket To The Moon brand hammock, bought on a trip to Bali. The trio is fascinated by the item’s quality and quickly realizes that the brand is not distributed in Canada.
That’s all it took for these three friends to start thinking about getting into business.
In the spring of 2014, they turned their thoughts into reality with Karibu. The Little Burgundy store has showcased the best items to make any trip to the great outdoors a great experience ever since. With strong social convictions at its heart, all of Karibu’s offerings honour the principles of fair trade and are produced in an eco-friendly way.
