We visited on Sunday for brunch and to celebrate a birthday. We have been here before and loved it so decided to take our out of town guests here to celebrate. They were so impressed with the Blackshop. We had intimate seating for the 6 of us. Several in our group ordered the eggs benedict and they were delicious! Eggs were perfectly poached. My son loves the selection of pastas, and my husband could have an affair with their ribs! Service is fast and efficient, I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to receive each course. This is one of my favourite restaurants. I first was taken here by my father after he had been so impressed eating here at a business lunch. We haven't had a bad meal here ever. My favourite meal is always the eggplant parmesan. It has to be prepared ahead of time, so make to to mention when you make your reservation, if you want it. Food quality is always amazing. The owner is attentive, enthusiastic, and passionate about the food and service. We booked at the last minute and were glad we did. Not a fine dining experience if that is what you want but a comfortable experience. We split a salad and the entree portions were a good size.
