The food was pretty decent but the service wasn't up to the par. The staff seemed unfriendly. I also spotted couple of flies which is unacceptable. I might go back if things improve.
I recently went to Tandoori Flames. It was full and people were waiting outside. It was a great experience. I have NEVER had such a fantastic Tandoori Chicken, in Canada. It reminded me of the quality at Indian Punjabi Dhabas/Restaurants. It had the taste of having grilled in an earthen oven as against electric. Also, the Chilli-Chicken was great. I will defintely go again. I cannot that stay away from that Tandoori - it also brought a lot of nostalgic thoughts as well. Enjoy
very good overall a good places to try indian food for the first time No strong curry smell and very good food.
I last reviewed Tandoori Flame on 12/08/07 and I'm surprised that this place has gone downhill!!! From the Pani Puri to the meat Dishes, the flavour is horrible. I don't think I will be going back unless a reliable source can convince me that they have made changes for the better. The adult buffet on a Friday night at $17.99 was definitely not worth it. This buffet should be priced like a typical indian buffet anywhere from $10-$12/person.
When I had made plans to dine at the Tandoori Flame I was most excited. I had heard great things about this establishment so I was looking forward to having a flavorful meal. When we arrived we were seated and pretty much left there to figure things out on our own. Usually when you come to a restaurant the waiter should at least let you know that you may proceed to the buffet when you wish and at least ask what you would like to drink. Well I felt like we were pretty much deserted. So my first impression was ruined by this. As I proceeded to the buffet I noticed they had a lot of selection which excited me because it would give me an opportunity to try all the things I have never tried before. However when I tried the food I was extremely disappointed. All of the curries that I sampled were not up to par. The naan was hard and tasted like there was no effort put into making it. In fact all of the items that was displayed tasted like this. At this point I was I was eating just the pizza and ice cream which was the best part of the meal. This is kind of sad considering that this is an Indian restaurant. Towards the end of the night, the waiter kept rushing us to leave. We were not even given 5 minutes to review the bill. The whole experience felt rushed and so did the food. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I am still on a mission to find a good Indian restaurant that can satisfy me.
