Since we discovered Sinatra's, we eat there at least two times a week, their sandwiches are amazing. The restaurant has such a refreshing atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly , always smiling. I've read some of the reviews complaining of the cost. I've yet to find a place in Oshawa where you get a clean place, good food that is very satisfying all for under $10. There is an old saying "you get what you paid for" with Sinatra's you get more.
i have been a customer of sinatra's for two years, my mother and i started going there on our way to visit her aunt in the hospital just down the road. going to sinatra's is one of the greatest treats for our family. the employees are always friendly and ready to take your order. one time we were there at a very busy time and everyone was still smiling and able to get our order ready in ten minutes! after going to sinatra's many times we recomended it to our neighbours, when they went in the owner was there sporting a black head band, "how delightful and refreshing" they explained. furthermore, i live in whitby, and i have even WALKED all the way to sinatra's just to have a delicious sandwhich! i invite all my friends to visit and the ones that do, always return again and again! as for the atmosphere, well i have got to say, having been to italy three times... stepping into sinatra's is like stepping right back into all those lovely little cafes i experienced in italy! from the beautifully painted walls and menu, to the great selection of Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin music i have heard (just to name a few), even the aroma of fresh espresso and tomato sauce all add to the amazing atmosphere sinatra's creates. okay, enough about the fluffy stuff, lets get to the good stuff, the food! their sandwhiches are HUGE, not only is the sandwhich huge, so is the flavour! right out of a quaint little house in italy, amazing tomato sauce paired perfectly with any one of their delicious sandwhiches. if you are looking for something a little different, try the eggplant parmisiano with ALL the toppings! every time i have gone in there the food has been great, always cooked just right and always with tons of flavour. if anybody thinks otherwise, i would suggest seeing a doctor about their taste buds. in conclusion, i do not mind paying $10 a sandwhich, when you think about it you are getting an entire meal, AND if you walked into a KFC or even pizza hut, you will pay twice as much for lesser quality and quantity food! i bet any money there is more sauce on one sinatra's sandwhich than on an entire pizza!
I have tried Sinatra's for the second tme, and will not return. As others have said, the sandwiches are huge BUT, completely tasteless and way over-priced. All three people in my party agree that this place is not worth a return visit. By the time that you pay extra for topping, you are over $10.00 with a drink. I don't see the buzz about the sauce either - nothing special. Why can we not get a decent veal place in Durham??
i would recommend this restaurant to all of my italian relations the flavor of the sauce was like my nana's the veal and chicken remarkable. after the price is forgotton the flavor lingers on nana sheila
I just love this place...the food is great and for what it's worth, I tell all my friends to go there! It is always cooked fresh and served up so hot! The sauce rocks and it is good to see the small guy making it in a "chain food" world...I highly recommend!!!
